Pennetta totally honest

This will surely go down as Flavia Pennetta's year. You could see her constantly giving us reasons to talk about her. First she made an unforgettable appearance in the Fed Cup, where she came from match point down to beat Amelie Mauresmo, securing Italy a win against France and by the way causing a scandal when she showed the middle finger to the chair umpire. Then for the milionth time in a row, she reached the final in Acapulco. After a slump in the early part of the year, she showed some sort of form during the claycourt season, just to bow out in the 1st round of the French Open with an injury. Then when it seemed like, she lost her chance to ever make it to the top ten, she won Palermo & Los Angeles (her biggest title to date) in a row, went on a 15 match winning streak, with wins over Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams, Vera Zvonareva and Nadia Petrova. She made the Italian curse go away, by entering the Top 10. At the US Open, she made headlines, when she saved 6 match points to beat Vera Zvonareva in a fantastic night match and reach the quarters of the US Open for the second year running. And if U thought, this was all, then you are all mistaken. Flavia isn't done yet. She gave probably the most commentated and honest interview of the year for the Italian televison. Just watch this (and if you don't understand it, there's a rough translation taken from the www.tennisforum.com).

ROMA. The bigger is the amount of beautiful female players in the tour, the tighter is the connection between tennis players and sex. There were big rumors about Barbara Schett, a very beautiful player from Austria, and her habit of having sex after matches in locker rooms. Well known also the hard date fixed by Francesca Schiavone to someone who was watching her match in the stand. Follows that trend also Flavia Pennetta, who talked without taboos in a interview to the TV show “Le iene”. On a tone serious and facetious in the same time, the beautiful Italian player discusses burning issues, such as sex and doping.

A QUICKIE WITH SAFIN. She started recalling the well known love story with Carlos Moya: “During the tour, we shared the rooms and made not abstinence, we made free sex.” Currently Pennetta is single but she confesses that, in the tour, three or four male players (the latest one was a Brasilian player) tried to sexually accost her, but she refused because she didn’t like them. On the same issue, the Italian player said that Tommy Haas is the most handsome player, but she “ would make a quickie with Safin”. No chances to Federer, Nadal, Del Potro, Yannick Noah…and to Maria Sharapova. She admits that in the tour there are many lesbian tennis players, but she never had advances from female colleagues; then she jokes putting sexy poses, and she admits to have had sex in a locker room, on cement, on grass, and even in a airplane “during a long leg”

DOPING AND TENNIS. She said that Serena Williams always beats her because “she is an animal compared to me” and then said that Italian tennis players are non competitive because they are “not confident”. Then Pennetta doesn’t evade the question about doping in tennis: “I think it exists”. If some tennis player use cocaine, that’s for fun but she never used it. Finally she elects Kournikova as the most beautiful in the tour, and says that, on a aesthetic basis, it’s a big fight between her and Francesca Schiavone.

Serena fights Mother Nature

So, Serena Williams maybe finally gets to shove that fucking ball down somebody's fucking throat. It seems like that someone will be nobody less than the Mother Nature herself.

"I swear to God. You don't know me!"

In an ad campaign for Tampax, Serena will be fighting Mother Nature, while the latter will be trying to bring a monthly gift to the current world No.2, just to throw her off her game - on and off the court. Will Serena be able to outsmart Mother Nature?

Wozniacki & Pennetta play football tennis

This is one of the most hilarious promo-films the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour has ever done in its history. They took a impossibly big football pitch and made Caroline Wozniacki and Flavia Pennetta play tennis on it. But this isn't the best part! Our Two Top 10 players had not only to play tennis, but also roles in this 3 minutes film.

If it wasn't for them playing tennis in the middle of that film, you could have easily made porn out of this one, with the way they were acting. Such a cheap, cheap American porno film. Such bad actress'. The coaches facial expressions also killed me!

That's the way, WTA!!!

Simona Halep to have a surgery

What's interesting about it? It seems that nothing, but wait a minute.

This surgery will be diferent than all others. Namely, Simona Halep from Romania stated in a recent interview, that she will have a surgery to reduce the size of her breasts this autumn.

Her huge boobs bother her both on court and off court. She says she doesn't move as fast as she could because of them and she isn't proud of the way she looks.

Here is the pic of her just to show you what's her problem ;)

To sexy for Estoril Open?

Iveta Benesova was forced to change her shorts after the referee asked her to do so. The umpire said that the ones she was wearing were too short.

Oh c'mon! It's unfair.
Fortunately, Benesova won a first round match in Estoril Open and andvanced to the second round. Maybe in the next round the umpire will be more tolerant and allow her to look like this.

Sex Alert! Watchout for Radwanska!

Authors of this website clearly didn't realise that the picture they chose to use for their 'sexting' story was actually a famous top tennis player. Anyway, be careful! Maybe Agnieszka is up to someting...? ;)

Impossible? Not for Djokovic!

Just have a look at this new Head comercial with Novak Djokovic. Hilarious stuff ;)

"Head brand is known [for] representing young players, which is really good. And the video, I don't know if you had a chance to see it, it was really fun. I made it in Miami. It was a day long shooting, but it was worth it." said Djokovic about this nice ad.

The Crying Verdasco

Fernando Verdasco, ATP World Tour's top playboy (sorry Feli, you just can't keep up with this guy), knows exactly which tricks work with a girl. Being a carefree macho ain't working no more, so Nando had to come up with something new. He's now playing a softie, showing emotions left and right. The Spaniard knows, that crying in front of a girl can work wonders...

... but Dear Lord, Fernando - why do you need two men (the physio and A-Mur, who kicked Nando's ass 6/1 6/2) in order to shed some tears...?

The Ball Wars - a new hope

Had Rafael Nadal won his quarterfinal match against Juan Martin del Potro today, we could have been up for the Ball Wars, with all the other TOP 4 players - Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic & Andy Murray - advancing to the semis...

Desperate Gaby & Nando?

Looks like Feliciano Lopez has been dethroned as the Tours biggest playboy. Fernando Verdasco is the new man in town! After a liaison with tennis starlet Ana Ivanovic, the woman's favourite Nando didn't wait long to make some new headlines. Right now, the whole tennis world is speculating, if he's doing actress Camille Belle or Caroline Wozniacki (more on that HERE), but Nando wouldn't have earned our Casanova top spot, if he wouldn't go for something extraordinary - like a housewife. And one of the 4 most famous housewives in the world - Eva Longoria.

Well, is Eva really such a desperate housewife to start something with Nando? In her TV show she was having an affair with her underaged gardener John, but we doubt she could repeat the mistakes of her TV show's character in real life...

Who let the pants down? Who? Who? Who? Who?

Last weeks Dubai champion Novak Djokovic couldn't continue his run of form as he got soundly beaten by both David Ferrer and Rafael Nadal. The latter frustrated Nole so much, that the powerless Serb just took his pants off as he couldn't handle Nadal's superb claycourt game. At least the "Funny Nole" is back again with us and not the sad, wooden one!

Let's just hope, that with the return of his good sense of humour, his game will come back too (showing the whole world that the title in Dubai wasn't just a semi fluke)!

Roddick's big thing

Andy Roddick followed the steps of Novak Djokovic, thinking that a racquet change may lead to more success on court...

It's a huge thing you're holding in your hands, Andy....

Win title = lose hair

Tommy Robredo is never shy of a challenge. After his Tour buddies Daniel Gimeno-Traver, Albert Montanes and Marcel Granollers all had their hair cut last week, Tommy made a bet he would also get shaved, if he was to win the tournament.

After he won a marathon against Juan Monaco in the final, he already knew there was no escape from the new haircut. The Spaniard kept his word and went to the barber.

Of course, he didn't go there by himself. He had support Santiago Ventura, Marcel Granollers and Ruben Ranirez Hidalgo, who all were luaghing there shoes off...

Is this lady working on the project called "Dirty socks of tennis players"?

Disgusting!

The lighter side of JJ

You no longer can see Jelena Jankovic on court in Dubai (as she lost to Kaia Kanepi 2/6 5/7 in what was, as she described, the worst match of her career), but if JJ is known for anything (and I'm not having the splits on my mind), that is her ever-presence. You can watch her in a HBO promo for BNP Paribas Billie Jean King Cup.

Yeah, JJ's always good for a laugh(ter)...

Andy Gollum vs Smeagol Murray

Dear Lord, how did we fail to see, who the story of Smeagol was really based on?!
Andy Murray got "his precious" in Rotterdam after winning the title over Rafael Nadal in the final.

Andy now joins the star line-up of Rafa the Hulk...

...the drunk Elf Juan Martin Del Potro...

... and Vera Zvonareva - the friendly ghost!

I kinda feel like Helloween came a bit to quick this year...

And the bagel goes to...

Juan Monaco levelled his this year's win/loss match record at 4 all as he served the first double bagel of the year to his compatriot Sergio Roitman at the Copa Telmex tournament in Buenos Aires.

This is the first classical double bagel since David Ferrer defeated Paul Goldstein in Barcelona in 2007.

This year we already had two matches, where a player won two 6/0 sets, but the matches involved also sets with a non-bagel score. Funny fact, that both those matches involved Radek Stepanek. The Czech lost at the Australian Open to Fernando Verdasco 4/6 0/6 0/6, but managed to win 5/7 6/0 6/0 against Todd Widom last week in San Jose.

Congratulations to Juan Monaco for a fantastic perfomance and our condolations to Sergio Roitman for the perhaps worst 58 minutes in his life...

Shoe, shoe, where R U?

Pete Sampras played an exhibition match against Tommy Haas this week in San Jose and although he lost that particular match, you can't say he lost his way . He's still serving like a god and is very effective at the net. But, there is a thing Pete lost - just see it for yourself...

Dear God, Pete, how did this happen?

More on Sampras' exho match HERE.
