Robredo organizing a wheelchair tournament

Tommy Robredo, who was in such a great shape in early clay court season in South America, has decided to organize a tournament for wheelchair players through his fundation. The tournament will pay tribute to one of Robredo's closest friends, Santi Silvas, who passed away last year.


"The Memorial Santi Silvas is born with the 'intention to persist' and to establish itself as a fixed date in the world best players anual schedule. The efforts to gain sponsors, the coordination with local administrations and institutions will be worthwhile if we manage to establish this tournament as an anual event." - says Robredo

The event will be held from June 8th to 14th in the facilities of the Olot Swimming Club. The tournament will be classified as an ITF2. The prize money will be $14.000.
