Sesil Karatantcheva also known as "The Mouth" is back. After a two year ban from the Tour for using illegal substances, the girl, who's also known for promising to kick Maria Sharapova's ass is trying to state a comeback. This week she made it through the qualifications in Brisbane and beat Iveta Benesova in the main draw, before succombing to Olga Govortsova in three sets.
The 19 year old Bulgarian has decided to take the Kazakh citizenship. Her father and coach Radoslav Karatantchev explains it is more a matter of getting a sponsor than really wanting to change nationality.
"The contract with Kazakhstan is a matter of professionalism and survival," Karatantchev told Bulgarian Kanal 3. "It's a three-year contract which will give Sesil financial stability."
The Kazakh Tennis Federation has already bought the likes of Yaroslava Shvedova, Galina Voskoboeva. Andrey Golubev, Yuri Schukin and Mikhail Kukushkin
Let's hope the money support can help Sesil in climbing back the rankings to where she once was (career high No.35) and finally fullfiling her potantial.
