The Serbians in new realationships

Serbian superstars Novak Djokovic and Jelena Jankovic showed, how to turn disappointment into succes. After both of them didn't win the gold medal at this year's Olympics, they brought something completly diffrent from Beijing - new relationships.


Novak is dating Leryn Franco, a track and field athlete from Paraguay. They have been seen walking around hand in hand in the Olympic village leaving no doubt the athletic duo are in love.

“Djokovic looks to his new partner as if she were a trophy,” an Argentine athlete told La Nacion newspaper. “Is it official? Yes, of course. They go hand in hand everywhere,” he added.

Leryn, a part-time model and bikini contestant, and Djokovic, who was seeded No. 3 in tennis at the 2008 Olympics, have also been seen in a restaurant near the Olympic village where athletes reside during the Games.


Current World No.2 and this year's US Open finalist Jelena Jankovic is dating Mlađan Janović, a waterpolo player from Montenegro. The tennis star openly talks about her new found love:

“Yes, there is a guy from Montenegro… Before I met Mladjan in Beijing, I was single for a couple of months. He plays water polo for the Montenegrin representation, he is 24 years old and his name is Mladjan Janovic”
