Wow!

What a nice day for polish ladies! Can you imagine? For the first time in history, Poland will have two beauties in the third round of a major! Awesome!

At 4.00 AM C.E.T Aggie RadwaƄska finished her battle with Pauline Parmentier winning 7/5 6/4. She played a good match, but to be honest - she lost her serve too many times. The 18 year old from Krakow must improve it, otherwise she won't have any chances against Kuzi. Anyway, we are glad to see you in the third round Aggie.

When it comes down to polish success, we also have to mention Marta Domachowska!
What was that?
She played gorgeus saving so many break points and showing really solid tennis at important points. The match, which lasted 1h 42min, was a drama with a happy end for Marta. She won 7/5 1/6 6/1. Next up for the polish qualifier is China's best - Na Li. It's a difficult task for Domachowska, especially having in back of your mind, that she has never beaten the No. 24 seed in her career losing to the chinese player twice.

What else?
Any surprises?
No!
Roger Federer won his 16th straight match at the Australian Open as he overwhelmed the magician Fabrice Santoro 6/1 6/2 6/0.

Nalbi overcame Peter Luczak in four sets as well as Gonzo and Hewitt.
Blake, Djokovic and Ferrer prooved good form by winning their matches in straight sets.
But the best was still to come. The stunner in which Marcos Baghdatis played against Marat Safin. Yeah, till today that was the best match at Aussie Open 2008. Marcos, who by the way improved to a 8-3 lifetime in five setters, won the thriller 6-4, 6-4, 2-6, 3-6, 6-2! The Cypriot can't afford to slow down, 'coz his next opponent is the local boy Lleyton Hewitt. The Aussie may have shown signs of lack of form in his four setter against Dennis Istomin, but he can not be underestimated.

In the women's singles nothing unusual has happened. The fourth round will see Vee Williams, Ana Ivanovic, Chuky, Petrova and Kuznetsova.

Thats it! Tonight it is time for Rafa, A-Rod, Davo and Gasquet on the men's side and for Henin, Shaza, Dementieva, Jankovic and Serena on the women's side.
Guess what?
It will be anathoer sleepless night with our favourite tournament! We do love Melbourne ;)
