Rafa loves languages

The new world No.1 Rafael Nadal may not be a linguist specialist, but the good thing is - he can take it with a grain of salt. Watch Rafa fight against the english language ;)

Roddick almost acing a new record

Andy Roddick has always been known for having a great serve. He's the owner of the fastest serve ever hit during a professional match. In 2004 he hit the ball with 249.4 km/h (155 mph) during a Davis Cup semi-final match with Vladimir Voltchkov on hard court in Charleston. In 2007 Roddick had the fastest serve in U.S. Open history: 244 km/h (152 mph) against American Scoville Jenkins.

Now the former world No.1 was on his way to set a new record. During his 2 round match against Czech Ivo Minar in Tokio, Roddick served 37 aces. The American has won this rubber 7/6 6/7 7/6. The record still belongs to Mark Philippoussis, who produced 44 aces during his three set win against Byron Black in Kuala Lumpur in 1995

Sharapova in love

Bad news for all those who hoped Maria Sharapova was still up for grabs. The reigning Australian Open champion is no longer single. She's dating Charlie Ebersol, the son of Dick Ebersol, an executive at NBC.

The pair joined Andre Agassi as guests at the Bryan Brother's All-Star Tennis Smash charity event last weekend where Sharapova put herself up for auction and joked, "My boyfriend will outbid you." However, one lucky guy won a date with the tennis star for just $10,000.

Rodriguez on the state of woman's tennis

Justine Henin's coach Carlos Rodriguez made lately some heavy comments about the state of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. Look what he has to say:

About Jelena Jankovic:
"She's a good player, but when you see Maria Sharapova and the Williams sisters, they not only win Grand Slams, but they have the charisma. They give something extra, not only hitting balls. There's more behind them."

About Ana Ivanovic:
"I think Ana can do big things, but she needs more maturity."

About Anna Chakvetadze:
"A champion is one inside and outside the court, and when you take Anna outside the court, she's really a disaster."

About Nicole Vaidisova:
"Her emotional (state) and the intelligence are not that good."

About the Tour in general:
"I have a lot of respect for the other players, but outside of the Willamses and Sharapova, the rest are still really poor"

Well, well!
JJ lacks charisma, Ana - maturity, Nicole - inteligence, Anna's a disaster and the rest is really poor...

Looks like someone still hasn't come to terms with the fact, that Juju has ended up her career...
